SUMMARY

Scott Mead is an experienced businessman and active philanthropist. Born in the United States and currently living in the United Kingdom, Mead has a long history of personal and professional accomplishments.

Academic Background: from American History and Literature to Law
Scott Mead graduated with Cum Laude honors from Harvard College in 1977 where he received a B.A. in American History and Literature. During his studies, he delved into a variety of topics and activities that related to his personal interests: he was on The Harvard Advocate, the University's literature and arts magazine; was a member of the Harvard Varsity Lacrosse and Squash teams where he earned with his team the National Championship title three times over; and actively participated in art history and visual arts activities. His hard work and dedication to excellence culminated with his receipt of the Harvard Scholar to Cambridge University, an award bestowed upon one student from each graduating class. He received his MPhil from Emmanuel College at Cambridge University, and in 1982 his law degree (JD) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. During his time as a law student, Mead was a visiting student at Harvard Law School for one year, where he focused on international law. He also worked at legal positions in Hong Kong, Beijing and New York.

Professional Accomplishments and the $200 Billion Dollar Acquisition
At the completion of his studies, Scott Mead set out into the financial and investment industry, where he first worked at an investment bank, the "First Boston Corporation". At the First Boston Corporation, Mead worked on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. During his time there, Mead was responsible for developing the first listed non-dollar bond offering in the United States market, and conducting the largest finance project to date in China.

From the First Boston Corporation, Scott Mead was recruited to "Goldman Sachs & Company" where he was a Partner and Managing Director. He started in the New York offices and later, in 1988 Mead and his family were relocated to London where he was active in multi-billion dollar European and Global investment banking efforts. One of his most well-known feats was the successful engineering and implementation of the $200 billion dollar acquisition by Vodafone of Mannesmann, a German-based company. The acquisition was highly publicized for a number of reasons: it was the largest contested transaction ever completed and involved a number of important developments for international investors in Germany.. Scott Mead continued to lead complex and large-scale financial transactions (over $500 billion in total) until he left the company in 2003. Next, he became a Senior Advisor and Chairman of the Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Board of "Apax Partners". He was involved in Apax from September 2006 until September 2008. In January of 2008, Scott Mead also co-founded "Richmond Park Partners", a financial services firm which offers services that relate to corporate finance, capital markets advisory, wealth management, venture capital and asset management.

Scott Mead helped to lead the recent acquisition agreement signed between Richmond Park Partners' holding company (Richmond Park Capital Holdings) and Sagard Private Equity Partners. Through that agreement, RPC will buy Olympia Group and acquire its accounts from private clients and hedge funds worth more than $2 billion. The acquisition, intended to increase Richmond Park Partners' involvement in the asset management market, will also strengthen its standing in the European financial community. RPP will offer risk management and investment services through Olympia's international offices.

An Active Philanthropist and Contributor to Education
In addition to his business activities, Scott Mead has also been deeply involved with educational establishments. He is a Founding Investor of the Notting Hill Preparatory School which was opened in September 2003 and is located in Notting Hill, London. He is also a Member of the Advisory Board and Chair of Board Strategy Working Group at the Judge Business School in Cambridge University. Scott Mead is also involved in a number of active philanthropic organizations as well as his own, The Mead Family Foundation, of which he is the Founder and Chairman. The Mead Family Foundation extensively supports educational opportunities, medical research and the arts.

Mead consistently participates in marathons to help raise money for charitable organizations; other sport activities include competing as a tennis player. He has been involved with athletics since his days at Harvard College when he played on the lacrosse and squash teams. Mead created the Scott Mead '77 Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Tennis back in 2008. This endowment fund helps to support Harvard's tennis coaches and tennis program. At present, he is also the chairman of the Global Advisory Council for the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
